Wake up daddy! While you were sleeping we bought this tree...

We watched the first movie we've ever watched with Miles last weekend: It's Christamas Time Charlie Brown (plus a bonus episode!). We made popcorn and made a big bed on the floor with thermarests and blankets. It was so cozy and relaxing -- and we can clearly see that people who let their kids watch TV may just be onto something! ;) Miles loved the part where they all boogied down, especially when Snoopy played the guitar. And, he liked when "the tree changed" and they all sing. We loved the part where we stared at the screen and did nothing for a while.

The next day, Miles was inspired to get a tree... and, considering how small our house is, it was a good thing we watched it... He actually refused anything bigger than this. I think this tree "needed him."

Here we are working on the felt advent calendar I'm making for Miles.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

It was fun having Uncle Dave and Auntie Mona here and sharing the holiday with my parents and my Aunt Barbara.

What the bleep was he thinking?!

Was Tony subconsciously trying to get back at me for something when he bought miles this electrical, inflatable penguin one morning while I slept in???? Or, is he just a total sucker? Needless to say, after our photo op (which includes our neighbor), it was returned to Home Depot immediately.

Tony took Miles to Ohio for a week and I went to see WEEN baby!!!

I also took a lot of naps, read two books, had dinner and drinks with friends, and did all of my work with absolutely no pressure. Wow! Tony was in Ohio for business in Tipp City close to where his parents live in Troy. Having recently read Eat, Pray, Love, I am willing to believe that this time on my own was a gift from the universe.

Meanwhile... Miles was having a BLAST with his Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Timmy and doggie Denver, etc. etc.

Gotta roll when you're in Ohio!

This is how Miles likes to Roll...

Happy Halloween!

For weeks our little guy was going to be a skeleton, then suddenly he switched to a puppy. This was a-okay with me as I'm not quite ready for him to explore his dark side yet! We went to a great Halloween party thrown by the parents of a child from Miles' school. On actual Halloween, we trick or treated in our neighborhood shopping district and Miles scored some major loot.

Oh Yes! And, we also had an adorable Halloween parade around the block at Miles' school (which is right behind our house). It ended outside the gate to our cohousing community.
