Swingers
We have swings in our home!

Thanks to a close friend who is also an occupational therapist, we got the idea of putting hooks into the ceiling and hanging swings with carabineers. This may be good for kids with sensory integration problems, but clearly it is great for all kids. it provides indoor activity, exercise, physcial exploration and chance taking... and, oh my!, has it been wonderful for a family with a 5.5 year old and a baby. When Miles is wound up out of control, needing attention and to be physical, we go to the "swing room" where he plays on the swings while I both watch him and sit on the couch and nurse lila. The swings have really been wonderful on so many levels.
